Quality & Compliance

Certified,
not claimed.

Every LICLLAB luminaire leaves Susegana with a documented chain of evidence — third-party tested, independently audited, and traceable to the batch it was built in.

Certification files, declarations of conformity and test reports are available to specifiers on request for any product in the catalogue.

The Certifications

Four marks that
carry the product.

A CE mark is a manufacturer's own declaration. ENEC and CB are not — they require an accredited laboratory to test the luminaire and an inspector to visit the factory. Our Limitless and Strip LED families, indoor and outdoor, carry both. CE certificates are held for selected products and issued per reference; ISO 9001:2015 governs the system behind all of them. Select any mark for its exact scope.

What it certifies

ISO 9001:2015 audits the system, not a single product. It covers how a design brief becomes a drawing, how components are sourced and inspected, how each luminaire is traced through assembly, and how a complaint is handled once the fixture is on site. Surveillance audits are annual; recertification is on a three-year cycle.

What it certifies

ENEC is the European mark for luminaire safety issued only by accredited certification bodies. The luminaire is tested against the EN 60598 series and the factory is inspected on a recurring basis to confirm that what ships matches what was tested. For specifiers writing to European standards, ENEC is the strongest available evidence that a fixture's safety claims were verified by someone other than the manufacturer.

What it certifies

The CB Scheme is the IECEE's system of mutual recognition. A luminaire tested once by a recognised National Certification Body produces a CB Test Certificate and Report that member countries accept as the basis for their own national approval. For projects in the Gulf, Asia or the Americas this removes the delay of re-testing — a decisive factor on export schedules for our Dubai and Riyadh offices.

What it certifies

CE marking confirms that a luminaire meets the applicable European directives — Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, RoHS and Ecodesign — supported by a technical file held at the factory. LICLLAB holds CE certificates for selected products, and a signed Declaration of Conformity is issued against the specific product reference and project name for handover documentation.

Coverage: confirmed per product reference. Send us the code and we will confirm what is held before you specify.

Scope note — ENEC and CB certification currently covers the Limitless and Strip LED families in indoor and outdoor versions. CE certificates are held for selected products and confirmed per reference. All production is carried out under an ISO 9001:2015 audited system. Certification of further families is ongoing — ask us for the current status of any product code before you specify it.

Beyond the marks

Performance
we also verify.

Certification proves a luminaire is safe and legal. These are the properties that decide whether it survives fifteen years on a façade in the Gulf, at the edge of the Adriatic, or under an alpine winter.

IP67
Dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion. Verified on production samples, not prototypes.
TÜV
Independent inspection of electrical safety and construction by an internationally recognised body.
RoHS
Restricted hazardous substances declared across the full bill of materials, driver and housing included.
Dark Sky
Optics designed to control spill and upward light in accordance with dark sky principles.

In the laboratory

What each fixture
goes through.

Certification is the outcome of a protocol we run continuously, not an event we prepare for once. The stages below apply to every product family in the catalogue.

01

Photometric measurement

Luminous flux, intensity distribution, efficacy and colour data measured and issued as IES and LDT files for use in Dialux and Relux.

02

Colour verification

Every batch checked for CRI above 90 and colour consistency within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse across the 2700K–5000K range.

03

Ingress and sealing

Epoxy encapsulation and anti-wicking cable technology tested to IP67, including immersion and pressure-differential cycles.

04

Thermal endurance

Junction temperature held within design limits through extended burn-in, confirming the L-rating quoted on the datasheet.

05

Electrical safety & EMC

Dielectric strength, earth continuity, surge immunity and emissions tested against the IEC and EN 60598 requirements.

06

Corrosion resistance

Salt-spray exposure on housings and fixings for coastal and marine installations such as Marsa Al Arab and Arsenale Nord.

5Year warranty

The commitment

Backed for five years,
on every continent
we ship to.

The warranty is written against the same test data the certification is built on. Spare optics, drivers and gaskets are held for the supported life of each product family, so a repair on a landmark façade does not become a redesign.
